Monitor Wax: Never leave melting wax unattended. Use a thermometer to keep the wax within its recommended melting temperature (around 90°C - 100°C) to prevent overheating, which can cause smoke or fire.
Heat Resistance: Use a double boiler to melt the wax, which helps prevent direct heat from causing it to overheat. Keep a lid nearby in case of a wax fire—cover the pot to smother the flames, but never use water, as it can cause the wax to splatter.
