Prepare Our Pillar or Square Aluminum Candle Mould

The right preparation of your mould is crucial for achieving perfect candles every time. In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through the essential steps to ensure that your moulds are clean, properly assembled, and ready for use. By following these guidelines, you'll set yourself up for success, creating beautifully shaped candles that burn evenly and efficiently. Let's dive into the process of how to prepare our Pillar or Square Aluminum Candle Moulds and get your moulds ready for crafting!

Instructions:

Step 1: Clean and Dry the Mould

Before starting, ensure that your aluminum candle mould is both clean and completely dry. If it’s new or has been stored for a while, use a paper towel to wipe it down and remove any dust or residue.

Step 2: Assemble the Mould

  • Insert the Tube:  Begin by placing the tube into the insert of the base. This is the foundation for the candle mould.

  • Prepare the Wick Pin: Take the wick pin and thread it through the wick pin holder.

  • Place the Wick Pin: Insert the wick pin and wick pin holder into the tube, ensuring that the bottom of the pin is aligned with the small hole in the centre of the base. To do this, gently loosen the tube from the base until you can see the bottom of the wick pin.

  • Secure the Wick Pin: Carefully move the bottom of the wick pin so it fits into the small hole in the base. It’s crucial that the wick pin is securely positioned here to avoid any skewed tunnels or holes in your candle, which can affect burning and cause drips.

Step 3: Finalize Assembly

  • Reassemble the Tube: Once the wick pin is securely in place, gently replace the tube into the insert of the base. Be careful not to displace the wick pin while doing this.

  • Secure the Wick Pin Holder: Ensure that the wick pin holder is firmly in place on top of the mould.

Final Check: Verify that everything is aligned correctly and that the wick pin is stable. This setup is essential for ensuring that your candle burns evenly and performs well.
